I got a basil plant for teacher appreciation week and RJ decided he wanted to help plant it. So, he grabbed the plant,
got his shovel from the side shed,
and explained to Doug how they were going to plant it.
Julia helped by being cute
and eating chunks of dirt.
I carried Julia to the garden with the backpack carrier and when I took her out, RJ jumped in and expressed his excitement about going to the football field with Dad. He was a little bummed to learn we weren't going anywhere, but continued amusing himself in the carrier (mostly because he couldn't get himself out!) until we were done in the garden.
