Grandparents visit

Doug's parents came to visit to help us eat the strawberries.

RJ: Mommy, Mommy, take a picture of Julia. She looks like Grandmother Chris!

Strawberry Fields Forever

Julia and Doug stayed home, but Julia wore her strawberry outfit anyway.

The kids...each their own personality! Back: Molly, Michael, Ray, Zach Front: RJ, Ellie, Maggie (Alec really wanted to keep playing!)

Play Time

We decided to check out a new play area in Tysons. The lack of water feature was disappointing on this hot day, but RJ still had fun.

Doug met us for lunch/ping pong.

RJ attracted an audience with his maneuvers.

On The Move

Now that she can crawl, it hasn't taken Julia long to figure out how to pull herself up on everything.
RJ decided to lock her upstairs. She thought this was a great game.

She is now able to move from the steps to the baby gate and around the door frame to the kitchen.

As you can see, there is never a dull moment in our house.

Julia is 11 months old!

It is getting harder and harder to get Julia to sit still for a picture.
Julia watches RJ's every move and then does her best to imitate him.

RJ decided to jump in to help.

The Pit and Memorial Day Fun

RJ and Julia were such good shoppers this morning, they were rewarded with Subway picnic at The Pit (Really awesome, HUGE playground) in Alexandria.

I guess I didn't get a picture of RJ climbing on the rocks and the little girl who tried to tell Doug that RJ couldn't play there because he was too young.

Strawberries!

We decided to make our big garden bigger and turn our smaller garden into a strawberry and rhubarb patch. We were all very excited to taste the strawberries and RJ is such a good helper in the garden.
RJ picking strawberries being careful not to step on any plants.

Four strawberries!

RJ tasting the strawberries

Julia was not so excited about the strawberries probably because she was sitting on the holly branches that had fallen off the tree. OUCH!
