Downy-O with the Kovacevich Family

Lots of fun and sun at the beach with Milo, Summer, Poppy, and family.

We started with a short visit with Cousin John in Dewey Beach, DE and then headed south to Ocean City, MD.

Playing in the waves

High tide provided pools to play in
Kids took turns pulling each other on the boogie board

Milo and RJ went with Doug on a bike ride to a park where we could fish. The next day RJ got to fish ... the rest of the gang hung out on the playground.

No vacation should be without a 3 year old!

What would a trip to the beach be without mini-golf?

No better way to spend time on beachfront property!

Proof that Sara was with us ... the last days with Doug's lame phone

New old trampoline

Doug's friend Ed borrowed the pickup truck so he could move things to his new house. He brought it back with a full tank of gas and a used trampoline. Julia used to love going to Ed's house to bounce on it!

Here is the initial stages of setup - before the outer walls were put in place.

Lego Camp with School Friends

Kids had a week of Lego camp because Sara had to work for 2 weeks after the St. Agnes school year ended. We don't have any camp pictures, but Lukas hung out while his parents were at Children's Hospital while the doctors examined his brother's nasty double-broken arm that occured while playing in the gym after camp.

Get well soon Jacob!

Picking Cherries

The cherry tree is getting bigger ... and we are starting to get a decent amount of cherries. The disease was back this year, so we picked the cherries (they were ripe anyway) so we could kill the fungus.

The kids helped with the lower branches. We used Grandad's pole trimmer to knock down the cherries while RJ tried to catch them with a baseball glove.

Good results, but still hoping for more next year.

Julia Cuts Lawn

Doug enlisted Julia to help with the mowing. We used the push mower to gather grass clippings to mulch the garden. Julia worked up a sweat doing about 1/4 of the yard.

Last day of school and kindergarten graduation

St. Agnes did a magnificent job of keeping in-person learning going during Covid-19. I'm sure the administration was as excited as the kids on the final day of classes.

Julia's Graduation Ceremony

Kindergarten graduation was held immediately after school. Kids sang "moving on up" and said what the loved about kindergarten. Julia's friend Brooke liked 'talking to her friends (a.k.a. Julia) at lunch' which explains why Julia didn't have time to eat some days.
